WEEK 1
WEEK 1
Your hosts have come and gone, and have left you with nothing but more questions and a key. Regardless of how you reacted or what you decided to do soon after that, it’s a fact that the day must end eventually.
And so it does, with the striking of the clock. As the twelve gongs reverberate and disappear into the night, the rest of the city is left silent save for a chilly wind that skims the streets. Those who have retired to their assigned rooms will find that the furnishings are decent enough to get a good night’s sleep, while those who wander the city will only continue to see empty streets and fog. But regardless of how you spend the night, eventually it will become readily apparent that dawn will not be coming any time soon as the waxing moon continues to hang in the sky even as the clock strikes six or seven or eight.
No one’s stopping you from wallowing in bed or holing up in a building during this perpetual night, but there’s a whole city out there to check out and some interesting additions to the Opera House decor; don’t forget though, a cage is a cage and every good cage needs its bars. While a portion of the streets and buildings are clear, any intrepid explorers won’t find themselves able to get very far through the fog that surrounds them; anyone who tries to venture through will end up getting turned around and end up right back where they started. Still, there’s plenty of other places to check, even if the fog-shrouded buildings are more or less off limits. Fortune favors the bold, after all.
[[Welcome to Week 1! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also now privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt at your leisure!]]

It looks as though you're settling in well.
[...the colors are a bit. yikes. but you know what, as long as you're having fun.]
no subject
As though I'm not entitled to a little fun after everything this week has been? This is the best thing that's happened to me since I've arrived.

[although it'd be nice if he could find something in his goth style that isn't a dress??? why is it so hard to find clothes that fit the dark mage aesthetic.]
It's certainly nice to have more options! [thaaaaat's a dress.] I thought this door was locked, though... [also a dress...] Oh well, I'm certainly not going to complain.
[unless he keeps finding dresses, then maybe he'll complain!!!!]
no subject
[It was discussed more indepth at that meeting neither of us were at, apparently.]
...You seem to be having some difficulty.
no subject
Good of them to get it open.
[But at that, he sighs and... holds up the current dress.]
Apparently my sense of style is only applicable to women's fashion.
[And then, muttered more to himself:] There were plenty of wild outfits for men at the Cyrkensia opera house...
no subject
[It's a little awkward, sure, but it does seem to be a legitimate suggestion.]
no subject
[oh my god.]

[He waves a hand as if to dismiss it. And for a moment, that seems to be that.]
...Though if you do find one with a shorter skirt, I might consider it.
[oh my god.]
no subject
[Like, ew?]

[...god, you've got him flicking through the dresses now.]
I imagine Mimura might like some of these...
no subject
[Though admittedly not in the same way...]
Would she? [glancing over and... oh yikes, these are all so bright.] They're certainly the sort to attract attention.
no subject
[He seems a bit less of a mess over this topic than he was on Tuesday, though clearly she's still on his mind if he's bringing her up at all...]
As long as she's enjoying herself, I see no reason to not allow her to do as she pleases. Though it's certainly not the best way to meet people.
[SHE IS GOING TO DIE SINGLE, IAGO.]
no subject
[or is she just like, you turned up to 11, because that would definitely do it.]
no subject
[...She's also just him turned up to 11, but you know. Self-awareness zero.]
no subject
[People with anger issues are the worst!! Good thing neither of us have that problem, right...........]
no subject
She's not really like that to me, so it isn't like I have cause to mind. I've always enjoyed her company.
no subject
no subject
That doesn't always work out for her so well, but I like to let her pretend once in a while anyway.
no subject
How generous of you. I'm sure she appreciates it.
no subject
[...take one look at this man and tell me he was not used as a life-sized barbie for his sister on multiple occasions as a child
like
he looks like he enjoyed it
but tell me that is not a thing that happened]
no subject
And yet you keep doing it...? How cruel.
