WEEK 1
WEEK 1
Your hosts have come and gone, and have left you with nothing but more questions and a key. Regardless of how you reacted or what you decided to do soon after that, it’s a fact that the day must end eventually.
And so it does, with the striking of the clock. As the twelve gongs reverberate and disappear into the night, the rest of the city is left silent save for a chilly wind that skims the streets. Those who have retired to their assigned rooms will find that the furnishings are decent enough to get a good night’s sleep, while those who wander the city will only continue to see empty streets and fog. But regardless of how you spend the night, eventually it will become readily apparent that dawn will not be coming any time soon as the waxing moon continues to hang in the sky even as the clock strikes six or seven or eight.
No one’s stopping you from wallowing in bed or holing up in a building during this perpetual night, but there’s a whole city out there to check out and some interesting additions to the Opera House decor; don’t forget though, a cage is a cage and every good cage needs its bars. While a portion of the streets and buildings are clear, any intrepid explorers won’t find themselves able to get very far through the fog that surrounds them; anyone who tries to venture through will end up getting turned around and end up right back where they started. Still, there’s plenty of other places to check, even if the fog-shrouded buildings are more or less off limits. Fortune favors the bold, after all.
[[Welcome to Week 1! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also now privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt at your leisure!]]

[ Because that sure is a key. He's eyeing the "2" though, hm. ]
Or a locked container.
[ Like a treasure box, etc. ]
no subject
Who knows? Maybe it's to a locker, or even a mailbox.
[ Post office seems too easy but also, maybe? ]
no subject
[ Occam's razor. ]
MODS
[ Seems kind of rude to leave the meeting even if it's to check something but, ok?? The meeting holder basically gave him permission to leave.
Gonna just slip out and away to check around the post office for someplace to use the key he found. Hopefully this time he won't break something. ]

He can start with the red postbox because. It's red? That seems relevant. But if the key doesn't wanna turn or go in, he won't force it. ]
no subject
Anyway, the key definitely doesn't fit the back of the postbox; the shape's pretty different so it won't go in even a little.]
no subject
Well, that figures.
[ Okay, how about the locked door behind the service counter? Any more luck there? Also, does he need to actually investigate this place. ]
no subject
He can investigate the place if he wants, ain't nothing stopping him!! But if he's only looking for places to key, then that's it.]
no subject
[ But he's already here so... whatever?? Let's investigate the post office and hopefully break some actual pots this time!! If he looks around, what can his thieving eyes see and does any of it look valuable? ]
no subject
no subject
But it sounds like there's nothing that'll catch his eye so it's probably time to get back to the meeting. Bye Post Office! ]

How bad a fit is it? ]

And then try the restaurant one. ]
no subject
Congrats and welcome to the backstage, it's still dark as fuck so watch your step.]
no subject
[ It opens!! Good job Seteth (not that he knows your name), you did it. It's... another dark room, but that's fine. He's managed once before in darkness and he can do it again.
Time to fumble around for a lightswitch or just, y'know, fumble around. ]

Until then, bumbling part 2! ] Guess they didn't expect someone to make their way here so soon.
Or at all. [ 'cause the switch doesn't work. Figures they wouldn't make it that easy!! But okay, soft fabric and metal. This is probably...
Actually, what is he feeling? A mannequin? A table?? Props?? A metal monstrosity that's going to bite him in two??? ]
no subject
It's dangerous to go alone, take this, etc. ]
...Probably not.
