WEEK 1
WEEK 1
Your hosts have come and gone, and have left you with nothing but more questions and a key. Regardless of how you reacted or what you decided to do soon after that, it’s a fact that the day must end eventually.
And so it does, with the striking of the clock. As the twelve gongs reverberate and disappear into the night, the rest of the city is left silent save for a chilly wind that skims the streets. Those who have retired to their assigned rooms will find that the furnishings are decent enough to get a good night’s sleep, while those who wander the city will only continue to see empty streets and fog. But regardless of how you spend the night, eventually it will become readily apparent that dawn will not be coming any time soon as the waxing moon continues to hang in the sky even as the clock strikes six or seven or eight.
No one’s stopping you from wallowing in bed or holing up in a building during this perpetual night, but there’s a whole city out there to check out and some interesting additions to the Opera House decor; don’t forget though, a cage is a cage and every good cage needs its bars. While a portion of the streets and buildings are clear, any intrepid explorers won’t find themselves able to get very far through the fog that surrounds them; anyone who tries to venture through will end up getting turned around and end up right back where they started. Still, there’s plenty of other places to check, even if the fog-shrouded buildings are more or less off limits. Fortune favors the bold, after all.
[[Welcome to Week 1! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also now privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt at your leisure!]]
pre-motive
First stop is the opera house from where they'd been before. The signs catch his eyes and so he proceeds to use the makeshift supplies to vandalize some of them. Including his own. After awhile he gets tired, since cutting up and taping and pasting and all that is a lot of work, especially someone not so artistically inclined. If he was Patty, this would probably be very different kind of defacing. He dusts off his hands after he's all done and continues to wander around.
Unfortunately there wasn't any markers so Hyoubu will just have to do his best with the writing implements as he goes all over town to the spaces available to them to deface surfaces with various things, of which here is a sample of. He'll write them under tables, on mirrors, on nice vast walls, on the sidewalks, etc. Easily visibly or very hidden. When pens are out he'll probably end up scratching them with the dried out tool. When he's run out of insults and random drawings, sometimes he pulls from his own petty annoyances. Maybe he'll surprise a person or two by popping from under the table where they probably didn't notice him. Or stared at as he makes his way to the most random of places. It would've been much, much easier if he could fly or teleport. The thought of which is both infuriating and slightly sad. But it makes him all the more determined to vindictively insult the masterminds. ]

Wait. Is that someone drawing obscenities on the windows of the candle shop!?
Good job, you got the local craftsman running over and yelling. ]

Of course, he walks in in the middle of Hyoubu's graffiti art extravaganza, so maybe this is another new normal; Ulquiorra doesn't remark on it at first, simply staring before doing a quick sweep of the profiles and grounds. Even beneath the veneer of abandonment the place is constantly changing. Finally:]
Have you nothing better to waste your time? Or is this distraction just a means of self-comfort as well?
[He seems to just deadeye his own modified portrait, but then he's always deadeyed anyway--]

[He states it blandly. Why yes, this is the first time they've actually technically met and talked. And yes, this is pretty much his way of saying hi. RIP.
Flat green eyes track the ridiculous squiggles and lines over his own portrait without really blinking.]
... Add any more and it will be unrecognizable.
[He does not sound like he's dissuading him.]

[ Oh he's used to scolding from Magi and the rest. Why can't people just let an old man live his best life? ]
I was thinking sunglasses, but it would definitely be too much.
