WEEK 1
WEEK 1
Your hosts have come and gone, and have left you with nothing but more questions and a key. Regardless of how you reacted or what you decided to do soon after that, it’s a fact that the day must end eventually.
And so it does, with the striking of the clock. As the twelve gongs reverberate and disappear into the night, the rest of the city is left silent save for a chilly wind that skims the streets. Those who have retired to their assigned rooms will find that the furnishings are decent enough to get a good night’s sleep, while those who wander the city will only continue to see empty streets and fog. But regardless of how you spend the night, eventually it will become readily apparent that dawn will not be coming any time soon as the waxing moon continues to hang in the sky even as the clock strikes six or seven or eight.
No one’s stopping you from wallowing in bed or holing up in a building during this perpetual night, but there’s a whole city out there to check out and some interesting additions to the Opera House decor; don’t forget though, a cage is a cage and every good cage needs its bars. While a portion of the streets and buildings are clear, any intrepid explorers won’t find themselves able to get very far through the fog that surrounds them; anyone who tries to venture through will end up getting turned around and end up right back where they started. Still, there’s plenty of other places to check, even if the fog-shrouded buildings are more or less off limits. Fortune favors the bold, after all.
[[Welcome to Week 1! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also now privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt at your leisure!]]

Anyway, he’s going to start out in the restaurant! He’s curious about the upstairs, too, but he’ll start there. He’s not looking for anything specifically, just trying to get a read on the area with the little light that he has.]

Matching the rest of the opera house, the red themed walls and decor are very much present throughout the restaurant, which isn't extravagantly-sized but is still definitely enough to seat all of the current Survivors and some more. It's obviously meant to be pretty high-class, with a good amount of space between tables and even some fancy, translucent curtains draped about to loosely divide the area into different sections. But ultimately, there's nothing really out of the ordinary in the seating areas beyond how neatly everything is organized; all the tables have their full ensemble of silverware and not a mote of dust is present anywhere. Even von Karma would probably approve.]

So, he’ll move towards the waiters’ station to see if he can find like, menus or anything. Or any indication of life before all this.]
no subject
If we're talking about signs of life, though... well, there is something. Or rather, a couple. A few sticky notes are tacked onto the countertop, like small reminders to refill the napkins for the next day, or to set the silverware and whatnot. There's no date to go with them, but they don't look super old either.]

So, now that he’s checked that out, it’s time to head into the kitchen!]

Anyways, going up to the stairway gives a number of options, first of which leads to the main theater. Needless to say, this is locked if Seteth tries to mess around with it.
Looking around the rest of the area though, there are some seating areas along the walkways (because this is your open space kind of dealio where most of these walkways basically hang over the ground level lobby area) which do lead to some closed doors along the way. Thankfully, there are signs to places like '2nd Floor Lounge', 'Scena Kameralna' and washrooms and the like. Where to first?]

Anyway, hmmm. Let’s hit the lounge first. What’s going on in there?]

ANYHOW, if there’s nothing else in the lounge, he’s headed to Scena Kameralna!]

The first thing Seteth may notice is that this is another set of double doors, a little like the ones that led to the main theater. Which means it probably shouldn't be surprising that opening it up leads into an auditorium that is completely dark. Needless to say, not all of the seats can be seen from the entrance by dinky candlelight but he should be able to get an idea of the size from the way the air circulates the space. It's pretty big!]
no subject
He will also look over the seats as he heads down the rows in case there’s anything in them.]
no subject
Alright no, that's not happening right now. The seats are find and all, but there's not really anything of note in them beyond they're the kind that you can move around rather than being fixed to the hardwood flooring. Moving around the area will also give Seteth a better understanding of the room's wood and stone theme, which holds as his flickering candlelight illuminates the stage area.
It's relatively short, to say the least, only taking four steps to reach the top from the artificial stone stairs that lead to the stage. There aren't any other set pieces available either, even as the place continues to be freakishly clean. As befitting its name, it's a secondary stage that, while still sizable, remains relatively bare of additional equipment or setpieces.]

...With that said, getting up on the stage will reveal a cleverly-disguised door in the back, hidden behind a pillar and having the same stone texture as the rest of the wall. It's not so visible when you're sitting in the audience's seats, but standing up here makes it pretty easy to notice.]
