THE FINAL CONFRONTATION
[It's time.
Once everything has gathered, perhaps they feel as prepared as they can be under these circumstances. Behind that door lays the place where things will end. The door opens easily, giving them access to the most important place underneath Krakow.
It's a rather large chamber, carved in the rock, but on the far end it feels like someone decorated the place to give it a very mystical vibe. A polished stone staircase leads to what seems to be a very large, glowing gate. It's being assaulted by an uninterrupted beam of volatile energy. Its origin is visible: a large, imposing laser machine, where all the tubes and wires are connected to. Right beside it, there's a coffin-shaped machine, the antenna blinking intermittently. Looks like it's on! But is it doing anything right now?
And, standing there with your backs to you, are the two people who have caused you so much grief and pain during the last month and a half. They're standing some distance away from the gate. Throughout the room are a few rocks that could serve as cover, as well as a pillar or two, but do you intend to hide? Regardless, looks like your intrusion didn't go unnoticed]
You all are so noisy.
[The door opening seems to have alerted her of your presence, yup. The Lady turns around. She doesn't have her half-mask anymore. The eye that's usually under it has a summoning circle carved onto it, shining so noticeably it can be seen even from the other side of the chamber. To her hip there's a sword, and her hand goes to a weapon a couple people may be familiar with: the marshmallow gun...with modifications. That sure is the fire-spewing trombone attached onto it. It's all pretty dangerous-looking yet still ridiculous. ]
Welcome, everyone, to the secret of this world. In here--why are there cats here?
[She blinks, puzzled. A good sign! Looks like, despite everything she has done and worked on, there's still room to catch her off guard in many ways!
The Lady shakes her head]
If you're down here it means you have been snooping around, haven't you? I'm sure this isn't the only place you sneaked into. My, darlings, that's naughty of you. All you had to do was stay on the surface and do nothing, and you could have the happy ending you wanted. Now, since you have seen more than I intended, I have no more option but to kill you. You can only blame yourselves, darlings.
[The Lady glances back at the gate, pensive, for just a moment before slapping a grin on her face]
My followers call me their Lady. My priestesses their Goddess. Everyone else calls me...the Other, for...some reason. [She doesn't seem terribly fond of that moniker.] But you all can just call me Lucrezia. And this here is my servant, Rembrandt as you well know by now. [She turns to him to add:] Oh, feel free to strike fear into their hearts by undoing your current form. The charade is over.
Now, have you all grasped the truth of this project?

[Okay, there's definitely something going on. There's clearly some irritation in her voice. Even amidst the boasting, even after how much she has said about how she already won...
...it seems she's still keeping her guard up. Something must be worrying her, even after this long]

It's Rembrandt, isn't it? He's an unknown - something you've tried to plan around, but even in all your preparations you don't have a confirmed way of removing him. He told me that the one time you used magic you regretted it - that's why you keep calling it a "shortcut", because you weren't nearly as prepared as you thought you were for making a deal with a demon.
When all this is over, you still have to part with your soul. You won't get the opportunity to see the world you've worked so hard to conquer.

...I admit Rembrandt is not like I expected. He's better in some ways, but in others...he's not what I expected.
[He's so sassy and gets her on edge and since he's a demon she can't use her usual methods to reel him into the obedience she's used to and it's just so frustrating]
I intend to give Rembrandt my soul, that's for sure. I'd even give him as many copies of my souls as he can want. [She looks a bit sick when she says that. What is she, a cheap twelve-beer box?] I have measures to ensure the empire I'm building will be in...good hands even if it's not these two hands.

Your past self? You did leave a letter addressed to her in that book. [not sorry about snooping through your bedroom!!!] But that could be another soul Rembrandt would claim since she is you, isn't that right? His contract never specified that he would only take one version of your soul, did it? Maybe he's free to take all of them.

...if Rembrandt wants all the Lucrezias out there I'm giving them to him. Fair is fair.
[...]
I can't say I like the thought of that, but if the price of my victory is my complete erradication from my world, then that's fine.
[She's not okay with it at all but...she made this bed, she has to lie down on it]
no subject
[Well. There is one other person. But like. She got super mad last time that came up?? Maybe it's best not to say anything just yet...]
no subject
Looks like this is something she really doesn't want to talk about.]
no subject
Either you're bluffing and there isn't anyone going to benefit from this and this whole thing has been an act to pretend you haven't made such a massive mistake, or it's someone you don't want to talk about.
no subject
[That came out fast, but it doesn't seem like she's lying about that simple sentence. So if it's not a mistake then it's...either a bluff, or something she doesn't like to talk about, or something that needs to stay hidden. What could it be?
But yeah, Iago managed to hit a topic she didn't want to talk about. That's good]
no subject
It wasn't a mistake that you summoned a demon you can't control or dismiss? You're relying on us to get rid of him, aren't you? That's why you've left so much here for us to find - you want us to do the dirty work for you one final time.
no subject
[She seems to be genuine about not wanting Rembrandt gone for no reason, at least]
no subject
And besides, it's not like it'll matter what anyone else thinks of you. When all this is done, you'll be dead.
no subject
So, he'll take a stab at it. ]
...There's something still in you way, isn't there? Of fulfilling your plan.
no subject
[Sounds logical enough, right?]
