Was what happened on Friday yet another tragedy in a string of them or just a complete shitshow? Well, regardless of which line of thought you subscribe to, the reality of it is that another three of your number are no longer in this realm with you. At least the remains of what had happened last week have been neatly cleaned up as always, even if that might not change what’s been etched in your memories. The drum set in the jazz bar remains busted though, because the masterminds aren't that generous. At least the tarot shop and boutique remain fine even if the vanished crystals and women's clothing aren't going to be restocked.

But either way, it’s a new week, and that means new locations to explore as the fog gives way to more of the city and its lamplit streets. The new moon waxes to half this week, appearing as a crescent moon for most of the week. It's far from optimistic, but maybe the brightening is a sign that this will be over soon...? Or maybe it just means the worst is yet to come, it's hard to say.

It is actually getting worse down there.

The strange pulse that runs along the rails has become more frequent and intense. My working theory is that it has to do with whatever the Lady has been working on these last few weeks, though I cannot say just what that is.

Makes you wonder what would happen if we interfere with it, hmm?

I haven't put much stock into the idea of interacting with it, because even when it wasn't quite as intense, coming into contact with it would most likely be fatal.

I assume our resources are far too limited for such a thing, but let me ask for posterity anyway: could you create a primitive robot for the purpose of sending it there to probe?

I do have access to more resources than I did a week ago, what with the autoshop having presented itself...

[He considers it for a moment. It is a really good idea, and he is definitely curious about those pulses...]

Let me see what I can do. I cannot promise anything, but I might be able to whip something up.

Assistance would certainly speed up the process. I will need someone who is at least somewhat competent with machines or is able to quickly and efficiently follow through with my orders.

[He knows he's sounding a bit harsh here, but them's the breaks.]

I won't be efficient enough to serve as your assistant just yet, but if there's anything I can to do help, just say the word.

[He learns quickly, sure, but there's no way he's going to be able to help Dist put together a robot. He is absolutely here to watch and learn how to do it, though!!]
