WEEK 5
WEEK 5
Was what happened on Friday yet another tragedy in a string of them or just a complete shitshow? Well, regardless of which line of thought you subscribe to, the reality of it is that another three of your number are no longer in this realm with you. At least the remains of what had happened last week have been neatly cleaned up as always, even if that might not change what’s been etched in your memories. The drum set in the jazz bar remains busted though, because the masterminds aren't that generous. At least the tarot shop and boutique remain fine even if the vanished crystals and women's clothing aren't going to be restocked.
But either way, it’s a new week, and that means new locations to explore as the fog gives way to more of the city and its lamplit streets. The new moon waxes to half this week, appearing as a crescent moon for most of the week. It's far from optimistic, but maybe the brightening is a sign that this will be over soon...? Or maybe it just means the worst is yet to come, it's hard to say.
[[Welcome to Week 5! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 5 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]
investigation- art musuem
As he contemplated when to have this week's meeting, he went out and about on an early morning stroll through the entirety of the city. Keeping in shape but also getting a gander at what's around.
Next he's going to start investigating the art museum, because boy that seems like a nice place. Maybe. Anything immediately noticeable as strange as he wandered into the Employees Only area?
Following that Rean was going to hang around in the Gym midday. He could be found doing stretches and such.
Towards the late afternoon, he'll be in the clergy kitchen whipping up some early dinner. Though if someone spotted him there, he'll give a small, welcoming smile. ]
Were you looking to grab a bite to eat too?
okay i have to be dumb

...What do you think you're doing?

Rean~

[ Were you trying to scare people. Was that it!! ]
What in the name of the goddess do you think you're doing?
no subject
I was going to surprise Ango. What do you think?
[ Then he's going to put those plush fingers on Rean's shoulders. ]

Here to train?
no subject
Yeah, I am. Were you thinking of doing the same thing?
[ Honestly though it's been awhile since he's also had a good spar, so he vaguely tossed the idea around in his head as he continued stretches. ]
no subject
[ she, too, starts doing stretches. always essential before a good work out, after all. ]
Have to prepare for the big finale, after all.
no subject
[ That it was. He's still doing some more himself, but... ]
And since we're both here trying to make sure we're in shape...how do you feel about maybe having a spar?
no subject
[ if she looks surprised...it's because she is. she does, indeed, have her sword with her, and she has been keeping in shape so... ]
Well, I won't say no to that. As long as you can keep up.

Good afternoon, Rean. Are you ready to get started?
[He's actually not wearing the usual suit today; he's swapped for something more comfortable but less flashy. He does still have the mask on, of course, but he's already working on removing the circlet from the back to set that aside. No sense letting that get in the way.]
no subject
Good afternoon, Iago. I'm ready to go now.
Let me know when you're prepared to start and I'll begin going over the basics, alright?
no subject
[we're probably just going to handwave all these fighting lessons unless you want to play anything in particular out!! thanks for being so patient with him, rean... he's got some experience with daggers?? but this is primarily just kind of sad, okay. that strength stat of 0 is doing him no favors here.]
no subject
Rean was glad that he's got some experience dagger-wise, though he expected that considering their last conversation. But yeah, his lack of strength really showed it's colors. ]
...And that's a wrap.
[ He'll pass the other a smile before he relaxes from his stance—the Eighth Form. ]
I think you did really good especially for your first time. How're you feeling, though?
no subject
I appreciate the kind words. I'm exhausted and sore, but I imagine that's to be expected given that I have almost no experience with any of this.
[He has too much decorum to just lay on the floor, but he absolutely would be doing that if he didn't care so much about appearances.]

[ He returns the smile, which... well, it's pretty small too. Shiro's still not doing great after the weekend, but he can hide it well. It's what he's used to doing, after all. ]
Is there anything I can do to help?
no subject
...They also had similar coping mechanisms, and so he might be looking out for the other man now. As much as he could, anyway. ]
I had been thinking of making a rare seafood dish, so maybe you could assist with cutting up the fish, if you'd like.
[ Though, he wondered... ]
Do you usually help out with cooking back home?
no subject
I can do that. [ Even one-armed, he can slice 'n dice. ] Usually just prep, if that's even necessary; our team chef isn't too keen on the idea of letting me do any more than that.
no subject
[ Because he's lacking an arm and all. There was barely a delicate way to ask but. He tried.
Also he'll be getting out some stuff now. ]

He'll have to uncover the painting to get a better look, though. ]
