After Trial Mingle

[ Seems like everyone is either hiding from any blood bending, wanting to take the time to think, or just doing their on thing after a trial as long as that one is. So here's a general mingle for after the trial or the rest of the weekend. ]

[Well, that was certainly a thing. Less so for the emotional turmoil of the trial itself and more so for... watching half the Survivors end up in depressive episodes? Well, it's not really surprising, given anyone would likely end up a depressed mess after watching their numbers slowly decrease like this, but damn.

He's going to head to the church to put his thoughts together, where he sits and a pew and looks at nothing in particular for a while before opening a notepad and just... kind of staring at it for a while. He's got to figure out something here...

Otherwise, he can be found in the opera house's upstairs stage practicing lance forms, making serviceable food in the kitchen, or relaxing in the aquarium.]

[ He's going to hear loud crunching from the front row. Dazai is sitting there, with his legs crossed up on the seat, and a bag of chips. Looks like he's watching Seteth training. ]

[It takes Seteth a few seconds to notice because he's in the Zone, but he's observant enough to catch on quickly enough...]

Hello, Dazai. Are you interested in giving it a go yourself, or are you content to simply watch?

Ah, I see. The throwing weapons I'm more used to are throwing axes and javelins and the like, which I imagine is still a fair bit different from what you're used to anyway.

I can't imagine throwing axes or javelins. [ they are probably heavier than he is ] I can throw knives. I also know a little bit of hand to hand combat.

[ He knows how to punch and kick really hard if needed. ]

[Cumore does come here once in a while; not so much for religious purposes - if the Goddess exists, she sure isn't listening to anyone here - but more because it tends to be quiet. Seteth being here isn't precisely a surprise; it's not particularly unpleasant, either, so at least there's that.]

It would likely be in our best interests to avoid much more of all that.

[you know, Cumore keeps flitting between "goddess in heaven" and "you know, actually" so... well, even if Seteth does sigh in frustration and rub his temples, it's more because, well.]

I cannot say I am surprised this is happening. I have seen it before, and I am certain it is at least partially due to our helpless situation, but... I never like seeing it.

It usually doesn't bother me. If others want to despair then so be it.

It's when it starts becoming counterproductive that it starts to annoy me. And this week was highly counterproductive.

I would prefer they didn't, really, but even from a purely pragmatic standpoint... just how many times have we been told that taking one penalty per person is a bad idea, much less more than one? I really am going to get an ulcer.
