Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.

But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.

The tarot shop didn't hold anything particularly useful or interesting, but it was missing something.

[Here, look at this. It's a sales tag reading: "Daemonologie now only 271,00 ZLOTY!!!"]

There were quite a few books missing, and there wasn't a single one on "daemonologie" or anything of the sort.

Sounds like a book on dark magic. Maybe someone wanted to summon a devil and got Lady instead?

The other possibility is that she used it to summon Rembrandt. He did say that she used magic at some point and he isn't human.

That could also be true. Both could be true, as well.

Yes, there's no way to know for sure. It's something to keep in mind, at least.

Things that are now missing: information on the clergy housing, a book of daemonology, and a proper priest. I'll wager they're connected.

[Either that or Rembrandt just really likes defacing church property??]

Hmm. Unless there are rituals that draw power from something else, I doubt most of us currently have the spiritual power to do so, anyway.

[Does he think the demon answer is plausible, eh. It's not the wildest theory the Hollow could be coming up with. Who the hell knows what Rembrandt even is; he hasn't really made it his job to find out.]
