WEEK 4
WEEK 4
Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.
But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.
[[Welcome to Week 4! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 4 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

Dist and I had discovered something while investigating the subway last week and it's taken a little bit of some time to process. It seemed like there was some kind of ... large, visible electrical discharge going through from one side of the subway straight into the fog underground. It was kind of off and on.
...I also really don't know why there's fog underground, but there was.

Why didn't Lady tap into that for a power source?
[ If there is electricity still down there... why didn't she scavenge parts there? ]

Though we don't know really know it's nature. It could be too unstable for her liking or coming from a place or being she'd rather not deal with.

[ The first sounds more likely ]
Might be worth poking again.

If that ends up being true, that discharge could run all around the entire city.
[ Like in some weird, elliptical circle. ]

[That's it, that's all he's got. But with the talk of barriers and odd varieties of power, there's something to it all for sure.]

But, he supposed the other was trying to contribute, even if Rean didn't really consider such a response helpful. ]
As in, you believe it's different from the fog that normally surrounds the city?

To be fair, it's about as productive as any meeting in Hueco Mundo, minus the idle or not-so-idle death threats.]
As in, it has little to do with the weather or the laws of physics, or our abilities.

...Well, yes, I did figure as much.
The fog is probably something that the Lady has some measure of control over, seeing as what happens every week with it. With that in mind, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't subject to the usual laws of nature or what we gained here.

[If there's such a thing as huffy in linefacespeak then that's probably what's going on right now, but it's mild, overall.
The fog really isn't the worst of their problems; really just a minor diversion.]
