INVESTIGATION 3

The clock strikes eight. It's a chilly morning, made even frostier by the fierce winds that would assault your body should you decide to step out onto the streets of Krakow. It seems that during the night, some light snow made its way down, blanketing the city in a layer of fluffy white, almost even covering up some of the puddles left by yesterday's destruction. Of course, that's only superficial; the water still remains on the streets as slick, icy sheets uncovered by the howling winds. And in the same way that the frigid winds care little for the tranquility of the snow, yesterday's violent disruption was a strike against the usual Thursday happenings.

Well, a reminder isn't so bad every now and then. After all, it's Friday morning and there's a motive out for the taking. The gusts send up a dusting of fine snow every now and then, but it's not so terrible that it's impossible to take a stroll or search for clues in the half moon's light. So, where to?

[There's nothing at all off about the rest of his neck, no. Again, he looks pretty immaculate all things considered, although when he's this close, Rideaux might also notice some details about his extremities; namely, his ears and nose are slightly swollen. Kind of like when people get hypothermia.]

[ Also as long as he's this close, any notable smells? Chlorine or alcohol or anything? ]

[If Rideaux hovers near his slightly open mouth, there is indeed the faint smell of alcohol there, although there's definitely no pool smell coming from Olivert.]

Just to be sure, he'll take off Olivert's shirt/coat(/vest/jabot IS HE REALLY WEARING ALL THESE CLOTHES IN HIS CHARACTER ART RIGHT NOW??) for a moment to make sure there's nothing else hidden underneath. There are no other bruises or anything visible? ]

[Yes he is wearing all that, so have fun! Also, as he's stripping Olivert down in the middle of a walk-in freezer, he may notice that there's a bit of exposed fiber by the waist, sort of like something that was there originally was tugged out of place.

As for his chest, there's no other bruising or anything visible, nope!]

[ Oh god, WHICH OF THE HALF DOZEN ARTICLES OF CLOTHING IS THAT ON... ]

[It's his outermost red coat, thank the goddess!! How well does Rideaux remember Olivert's clothing anyways?]

[ Not well (though he'll never fucking forget it now)! So he won't remember what was actually there if it isn't apparent from looking at the rest of the coat. It seems to be a pretty symmetrical looking coat (?), so was something removed from one side or from both? ]

[It is indeed pretty symmetrical, and checking the matching side shows a similar area where the fiber is exposed. With that said, there is a chain going between both sides right below it where the fibers are, so he might be able to guess what was missing.]

[ So probably a clasp or a pair of buttons or something. Hm.

How many pockets are there overall in all these layers, and will he find anything if he searches them all (including the hidden one that's usually on the inside of a coat because he sure knows that trick for hiding stuff)? ]

[There indeed are a couple pockets here! As for contents...aha! Stuff!

In one of the pockets Rideaux will find a pen. In another pocket, there's a key -- key he likely will recognize as being for one of the clergy housing bedrooms.

That seems to be it]

[ Is it an Interesting Pen or just standard black ballpoint? Either way, taking both things, because why not. Not like anyone else is going to use them now.

Is there anything on his hands/under his nails at all? ]

[It's a Boring Pen! A pen anyone can have, really.

So, there's nothing in his hands or under his nails! Except, well, that his fingers are slightly swollen, just like parts of his face were]

[ All right... Going back to where we started before we close this. What's the deal with his hair, exactly? Is it falling loose from a ponytail or something, or is it just being worn down?

Also, is there any damage or anything to the part of the collar that was covering the welt on his neck? ]

[Indeed, it's falling loose. If Rideaux thinks back to any time he saw Olivert, he may remember usually his hair was tied, but right now it's not. His hair is free!

The collar is fine! Whatever made the welt on his neck doesn't seem to have damaged his clothes at all]

[ If nothing else on the body stands out as being worthy of further investigation at the moment, he can glance around at the surroundings to make sure there isn't something else he's missing.

Anything seem out of place here? Any papers or anything lying around? ]

[Nope! The only other thing of interest left on his body are the red patches on his knees and elbows -- frost erythema, something somebody with medical knowledge may be aware of.

Nothing lying around! Nobody seems to have convenient left any items around here, unfortunately. Only the bodies!]

[ WHOOPS FORGOT ABOUT THIS he also would have opened Olivert's eyes while he was looking at his face -- how do they look? Any obvious redness or anything? ]

[Let's see...nope! Olivert's eye don't show any signs of redness! In fact, they look like usual. Nothing to report over here in his eyes!]
