SECOND TRIAL
Trial II
From what you can see, all the lights in the opera house are turned on. Only when you enter and see the open doors that lead into the main theater, you can see that room's lights are currently turned off. It's very dark in there.
Like before, Rembrandt escorts everybody to the stage. In the dark you still can see the many blue-eyed things you may be getting used to. They're still very scared of Rembrandt, staying as far away from the assistant as possible. The stage is illuminated by the spotlights, the only light in this theater.
The Lady and Rembrandt are at their balcony. She stands up, addressing the group:
"This time we don't need any introductions, do we? Let's make this an interesting trial, just like last week. Give me a name! Who is the killer this time?"
Short and sweet. Will the Lady give you that offer later? Only time will tell.
Let the trial for the death of Lysithea von Ordelia begin.
[OOC NOTE: From the halfway point of the trial and onwards, you'll have the option to ask the masterminds for the chance to get a hint! Be warned, though: the price will involve some body horror for your character. Keep that in mind when deciding to use this option!]

If it was you all along, then why did you put up a fight to the point where we needed to get a clue?

I understand now that it was me. But at the same time, I can promise it wasn't.

It seems that taking our powers away didn't also include removing curses that had been wrought upon us.
I told you all about the power of Geass at the meeting last week. Zero... Lelouch... he ordered me to live.
[those implications speak for themselves. He looks to the side, guilty.]
...I don't know how Miss Lysithea set me off. You'd have to ask them.

Ohhhhh.
Zangetsu looks... almost sad for a moment. Sympathetic, at least. He replaces that look with a more neutral frown]
So I guess you can't plead Not Guilty on account'a Geass, huh.

cw suicidal ideation, again
Failing that, though...
[he would have had to see if he could bring himself to erase Lelouch. As much as he really wants Euphie to live.]

I imagine she did try to kill you, then.
[He just kind of... rubs his temple, because. yeah.]

[He can believe it was an accident, if that helps him sleep at night]

If you're to die for this, then I suppose you deserve that knowledge at least.

I'm glad you uncovered the truth.

[Unlike Ango, he has no problems with poking at the possibilities of Geass execution shenanigans. Kyouka Suigetsu is a thing, after all.]

...It's brought me a lot of trouble.

Did that mean—?
He'll place a hand on his chest and he can't help but look upon the brunet, unable to keep from wishing that things had been different.
But the other implications were troubling. Still, he had nothing he could say right now. ]

[ He trails off because he's clearly talking erratically and revealing more than he wants to. ]

Are you saying your memory was erased?

[ what. ]
You mean in that small window of time, you got up, killed a woman, and then promptly forgot after cleaning everything up? You can't be serious.

It's more like my memories gloss it over, I suppose.
