Sometime during the late hours of the night, the clouds rolled in with their load and let loose upon the unsuspecting streets down below. It's the end of another week in Krakow, another week in this unending night and another week where The Lady's motive lay in wait. As the bell tolls seven, the rain continues to soak the city below as fog crowds the air, although it's not nearly as suffocating as the kind found blanketing a large portion of the city.

[He can! On initial examination, there's nothing too outwardly off about her besides the knife in her back; her eyes are closed and maybe she could almost pass for being asleep because there's no real damage to her clothing at all.

Is there anywhere that he would be looking in greater detail?]

[Any defensive wounds? Are there any signs he can use to determine time of death, or has the water had too much of an affect on the body's rigor mortis?]

[The autopsy report gives the estimated time of death at around 7 am this morning and it's probably around 7:20 am or so right now, just for reference's sake. For what it's worth though, the lack of livor mortis or rigor mortis does help confirm that somewhat, considering body temperature isn't usable with the way she was found.

There aren't any blatantly defensive wounds on her arms and hands, but there's a shallow cut on the index finger of her left hand, if he wants to look at that.]

[Sometimes, it's good to be thorough since some people forget to read autopsy reports.

He will look at her left index finger though, now that time of death has been double checked!]

[The wound looks fairly clean as you'd expect from having been dipped in water for a while although there are some light signs of blood having clotted there at some point, even if it does look decently fresh.]

Look out for any small holes on the body, hm?

You think that [a wave towards Seteth] was done after she was, ah, put in the tank?

I'm not sure. I'm curious to know whether it appears to have been done to her or by her, first of all. Do we know what power she had?

I can't say I recall her ever mentioning it. She said she had magic in her world, but not what her new power was.

[ welp Seteth cleared that up ]

Well, check anyway so we can be certain.

[ SIGH... He'd rather just do this himself than bark orders, but in light of this information, he doesn't really want anyone to suspect he might be lying about anything he finds. ]

At this point I think it might be better if I'm not the one handling the body, but I'll expect you to be extra thorough in your investigation, and I'll be watching closely.

I'll be sure ta be thorough, Rideaux! We wouldn't want the wrong person blamed. Lysithea deserves that much, too.

[Plus, with the three of them and Mikami in the room, it would be harder to not have more than one person see all of the evidence.

I assume you already gathered that we shared the same ability as well, given what we both said about healing before.

I wasn’t one hundred percent certain, but it makes sense to me. I wasn’t sure if any of the other powers might cover it or if ours is the only one that comes with healing.

i wouldn’t say you’re cleared of suspicion, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if Lysithea was the only person with Sanguis involved. I don’t know if it would take more of a toll on her than her actual magical abilities back home would, but she was never the sort of person you’d want to try and corner.

[Well, there's still the knife sticking out of her back, so that's one thing. He can also note that her fingertips are kind of wrinkly, like the kind you get after sitting in the shower or bathtub too long.]

Rean will steel himself, pushing any personal reservations and thoughts aside, and he'll continue on where Alfyn left off.

So, anything else noticeable about the state of her body? Also, was she wearing anything with pockets? ]

[Aside from the aforementioned knife in the back, there's nothing blatantly obvious here about the body.

She's wearing this outfit so it's more like a dress than anything else; there aren't really any pockets to work with here.]

[Well, it comes out because there's nothing strange holding it in place there, thank god. Beyond that, it's notable that there isn't much of a bloodstain in her clothes despite the whole stabbing thing, and nothing much is really going to come out as he pulls the knife out as long as he's not applying huge amounts of pressure or anything.

But congrats, Rean is now holding one (1) bloody McDonald's brand knife!]
