Fine Food(?) and Music(???) Await You
[Well that was truly a heartbreaking matter, to say the least. But what follows will be important. If they crack now, there will be no telling what their future holds. So now, more than ever, it is important that they hold together.
Few seem prepared to rise to the occasion, so it is left to Olivert to prepare something truly spectacular.
As the room is prepared, he hums and serenades himself quite happily. It's a good amount of work but he doesn't seem to mind doing it himself, although he would never turn down a few extra hands if they wanted to assist.
The important thing is that the Opera House has been decorated with lights and tables and rose petals aplenty. Enough to brighten up their little gathering. Amongst the tables there is food, but considering at least some if not all of them were the prince's doing, perhaps a little caution may be in order. There is at least probably a fifty/fifty percent chance of it being an edible dish!
Outside there is a sign made up to draw their numbers in.]
Tonight, a Grand Feast, to be shared amongst friends.
Everyone is highly encouraged to attend, though it need not be mandatory.
In the darkest hours it is important for the brightest lights to shine.
If necessary, tonight that light shall be me.
Wonderful music and food will be provided, you only need bring yourself.
Prepared by Olivert Reise Arnor.
[Trust nothing about this.]

But on the other hand they just watched a man be executed and pinned to this very stage, so it's like. That happened. You can't pretend that didn't happen. Having a party in that very same space is a little...much.
Still, he's going to be there, instead of continuing to wallflower. After the things with the blue eyes he's come to realize it's quite possible there's safety in numbers, and there's probably no harm in getting to know his fellows better. (And also a part of him just wants to see what on earth this Grand Feast is, sue him.)
Sadly it doesn't...seem all that grand. He looks over the offerings, lips pressed together.]
I think the wonderful thing might be if we avoid food poisoning from this...
[smh]

[ A quiet chuckle, as he glances around at the others. ]
They really put in a good effort, though. [ a pause. ] ... How are you doing?
no subject
[He can agree with that much. At that question, he grimaces.]
I suppose...I'm doing as well as I could be. I didn't know either of them very well, but it's still a senseless loss of life.

[ Isn't it wild how a single word can sound so heavy? ]
And there was nothing we could do but watch.
no subject
This is...less than ideal. He sighs, running a hand through his hair.]
I wish we could have stopped it.
[But they probably would've just been shot and killed instead.]
no subject
I almost did, honestly. They forced someone's hand, and killed him for it. That isn't justice.

[Or are you going to do the smart thing.]
no subject
[ The smart thing. ]
I'll only play if there's something to gain from it.
no subject
[He's not even surprised.]
What kind of incentive do you need?

[ Like, this is not great. He is absolutely frowning at the tables. ] Wonder how long this stuff will even last.
no subject
[Which is...probably not going to be much of it. What a waste.]
It's a shame.
no subject
[ Maybe there's no point thinking about this now. He drops his hand and crosses his arms. ] Anyway, it's too late to salvage anything here. Not unless you know of a way to turn back time.
no subject
Probably.]
If I did, I would have already done so. [So, really, they're just doomed.] I think we'll just have to hope that nobody gets sick from this.
no subject
Hard to believe that's a concern at a party hosted by royalty. [ He's pretty sure that Olivert guy is a prince, anyway. That's what the profiles said. ] But at least we'll be okay if we stay away from...
Well, everything. [ Now that he says this, he realizes it's a bad plan. ]
no subject
Just what we all needed after a long day.

Ignis sighs, adjusting his glasses.]
I'm sure something might be salvageable.
