Fine Food(?) and Music(???) Await You

[Well that was truly a heartbreaking matter, to say the least. But what follows will be important. If they crack now, there will be no telling what their future holds. So now, more than ever, it is important that they hold together.

Few seem prepared to rise to the occasion, so it is left to Olivert to prepare something truly spectacular.

As the room is prepared, he hums and serenades himself quite happily. It's a good amount of work but he doesn't seem to mind doing it himself, although he would never turn down a few extra hands if they wanted to assist.

The important thing is that the Opera House has been decorated with lights and tables and rose petals aplenty. Enough to brighten up their little gathering. Amongst the tables there is food, but considering at least some if not all of them were the prince's doing, perhaps a little caution may be in order. There is at least probably a fifty/fifty percent chance of it being an edible dish!

Outside there is a sign made up to draw their numbers in.]

Tonight, a Grand Feast, to be shared amongst friends.
Everyone is highly encouraged to attend, though it need not be mandatory.
In the darkest hours it is important for the brightest lights to shine.
If necessary, tonight that light shall be me.
Wonderful music and food will be provided, you only need bring yourself.

I intend to continue defying her to the last, to the best of my ability. I couldn't bear to live with myself otherwise.

[Fabulously. Sometimes all you need is a little twisted sense of understanding. Royalty and nobility sure are Something Else.]

I'm glad to hear it. I feel exactly the same way. Each of us having our own unique set of circumstances, I think having that one thing that we can all agree on is important.

So her plan has a flaw in it simple by merit of us being able to communicate with each other at all on the matter. I like that notion.

[Like, he still thinks that most of this is purest bullshit and he has no doubt that a lot more of us are going to die, but if the point of this is to pretend to be hopeful then he sees no reason not to pretend for now. Who knows, maybe they'll speak it into being.]

If you ask me, considering what end we're meant to meet, we've been given an odd amount of freedom. Depending on what we do with it, it's possible there is more than one flaw to be found.

[It could still certainly end horribly, but for an evil mastermind, he will say that this one is certainly lacking in some areas.]

She really didn't think this through very well, did she.

[Not that that's a bad thing. For us, anyway.]

It may be that she's simply unaccustomed to playing the role of the villain. Or perhaps she was never cut out for it from the beginning.

[He prefers this to the alternative.]

We could be in far worse hands than these, regardless.

It's possible either way. It does make her more unreliable, but it also makes her unpredictable, I think, which isn't quite what we want.

We'll just have to keep an eye on her, I suppose.

[All things considered, he doesn't seem concerned. Which likely isn't surprising, given the...everything he ended up being at the trial, um.]

An intelligent opponent or a crazy one... that's a difficult choice to make, it's true both are dangerous in their own right. I suppose we should simply be glad she's not both.
