Fine Food(?) and Music(???) Await You
[Well that was truly a heartbreaking matter, to say the least. But what follows will be important. If they crack now, there will be no telling what their future holds. So now, more than ever, it is important that they hold together.
Few seem prepared to rise to the occasion, so it is left to Olivert to prepare something truly spectacular.
As the room is prepared, he hums and serenades himself quite happily. It's a good amount of work but he doesn't seem to mind doing it himself, although he would never turn down a few extra hands if they wanted to assist.
The important thing is that the Opera House has been decorated with lights and tables and rose petals aplenty. Enough to brighten up their little gathering. Amongst the tables there is food, but considering at least some if not all of them were the prince's doing, perhaps a little caution may be in order. There is at least probably a fifty/fifty percent chance of it being an edible dish!
Outside there is a sign made up to draw their numbers in.]
Tonight, a Grand Feast, to be shared amongst friends.
Everyone is highly encouraged to attend, though it need not be mandatory.
In the darkest hours it is important for the brightest lights to shine.
If necessary, tonight that light shall be me.
Wonderful music and food will be provided, you only need bring yourself.
Prepared by Olivert Reise Arnor.
[Trust nothing about this.]

He is going to stare at the sign slack-jawed for a moment or so before heading in, the same absolutely baffled expression plastered on his face as he walks into the opera house and looking around...]
...
Two people are dead!? What even is this!?
no subject
It isn't as though not doing this is going to bring them back, and they certainly don't need to know about it.

He's going to kill Olivier—I mean what. ]
...I'm sorry that you have to deal with this. At least I can say that I think Kyousuke would've appreciated the fanfare.

[...that does, perhaps, cause him to mull it over a bit...]
Well... I suppose it is good to remember people how they would have wanted to be remembered. I don't know how intentional it was, but... perhaps it is simply serendipitous.

Haha, yeah. There is that.
Maybe some of the others might like it too, considering that we do need a distraction from what we just saw.

[ Rean just had a feeling that's what their captors would prefer for them to do. ]
It's become clear to me that we have to stick together as much as we could.

[Someone else would be far better suited to creating memorials than this man. Leave him with the parties.]
However, I do worry about the effects that this ordeal has left on us as well. While there is little we can do for those we have lost, I hope that we can at least continue to support one another so that another tragedy like this does not occur.
[Maybe there is, perhaps, at least a small semblance of sanity in this man. He means well. He is just an absolute idiot.]

you know... he can't really be mad at this idiot, it's like someone got eighteen year old ferdinand von aegir to plan a funeral and lorenz gave him advice.]
Well, I suppose your heart is in the right place, at the very least. I think something a bit less ostentatious would be more appropriate, but now that I know your reasoning, I appreciate the effort.

[It's the kind of thing that could really do a lot of damage to several people.]

[sigh....]
I suppose I understand your logic. I feel like something too bright is jarring, but... it distracted me enough, at the very least.

[ Hi Seteth, he's joining you in the judgmental corner. ]

I'm not expecting much on that front, though. I do think we need more time to digest what happened before a strategy meeting, at the very least.

It's a little much, sure, but at least it's giving people an excuse to not have to be alone.

[He sighs and heads on in...]
Admittedly, I don't have much of an appetite, so I may as well stay for the company.
no subject
At least there'll be more than enough company. Tea, too, hopefully.

[Suzaku is putting himself through this party but he's about as off-put as Seteth.
It's not entirely unheard of as far as Britannians pulling this kind of ridiculousness, though.]

Well, I am sure some people mourn this way, though the people who do tend to be...

Somewhat awful, I suppose.
