The clock strikes eight. The intermittent showers that dominated most of yesterday had, at some point during the night, escalated to a complete downpour that drenched the streets. Maybe that's why the morning might almost feel refreshing today—while it can't be said that the birds are chirping and the sun is shining brightly, the breeze is cool without being frigid while the sky is bright with the half moon.

Nevertheless. The deadline for Tuesday's motive was laid down as Friday, and amongst the pleasant earthy smell of the rain may be a tinge of something else.

Well now, how shall you spend this morning?

[It's Ango.

No actually, Ango is coming up behind Alfyn to peek at what he's found.]

[Hi guys, what's up. Nice of you to join Ango! Let's take a look at this object here:

It's a bottle! A bottle on its side, it's a bit of a miracle it didn't roll and get lost. There's a big opening on it where a can was embedded, and there's a candle inside, already melted]

A bottle with a candle... and a can? [Does it have any special things for where it's placed beyond being near the door, or can Alfyn pick it up and look closer?]

[Pick it up if you'd like! Looks like there's nothing particularly special about the place this was at]

What in the world would this thing even be for?

[Also is there anything else to find here?]

Makes me think of the lanterns the taverns had inside.... sorta.

[It's very makeshift, and has Alfyn scratching his head as he picks it up and examines it]

[Take a good look at this novelty object, Alfyn! Looking at the candle and the melted wax, maybe you'll be able to tell something. The now hardened wax spills out and reaches the edge of the can pocket]

[Let's take a closer look at this mystery item!!!]

[Alright, taking a closer look to this bottle can thing!

Determining how skillful whoever made it is may be impossible, but you do can tell something: it doesn't seem like it's existed for long. The bottle is clean, the tin from the can is shining and without many smoke stains in the inside of the can, and the cuts made on the bottle and can to assemble it are still sharp. Don't touch them, you may get cut.

All that plus the freshly melted candle seem to be all there's to check about this object]

[There seems to be nothing else lying around here on the floor!

Looks like the only stuff other than this curious object is...whatever's tied to the base of the railguard. Whatever it is, seems to be hanging from a rope of sorts.

Nothing to do but get that up so you can examine it to your heart's content.

[Okay, time to reel that up then. What horrors is he about to find?]

[Reeling it up is easier than you may expect, both the rope -- rope you and Alfyn may find is makeshift like that other object you found -- and the thing hanging from it feel rather light. Finally, after some pulling, there's a head! And then a torso, and the rest of a body.

Thankfully, this isn't a second victim. It's a deity statue. Anyone who may have been at the prop room may recognize it as one of the foam statues found there.

So yes, there currently is a makeshift rope and a foam deity statue to examine. Want to split this, Alfyn, Ango?]

[Well this is weird. Is just the statue there, or is there anything else on the rope/statue too?]

[The statue has some additions on it, but other than that and the rope, this is all that was hanging from here]

[While Ango looks at the statue, Alfyn is going to exam the end of the rope not attached to the statue.

How 'makeshift' are we looking at here?]

Pretty odd thing to be found just hangin' around.

[Looks plenty makeshift! This rope is actually made with scarves. Many of them, twisted and tangled and tied together until they form a fairly sturdy rope]

Must've been pulled from the theater, whatcha think, Ango?

That seems likely. Though why bring this all the way out here?

Maybe to worry somebody? This spot is pretty darn visible from most of where we can go, with the dark making details hard.

[So people might have seen this and thought it was an actual person, and not whatever it actually is....? A dubious look is sent at whatever the "body" is.]

[What do you mean by 'additions'?]

[Additions onto the foam statue! Such as, for example, these clothes -- a nice elaborate dress that's soaking wet and therefore most likely ruined. Not only that, it also has a long-haired wig pinned to its head with a lot of tape and most likely a lot of finger-crossing it doesn't fall apart at the slightest touch.

The rope was tied around the statue's waist, by the way!]

[...huh. Is the wig the same color and length of hair as any of the ladies here, by any chance?]

[This wig is long-haired! It reaches down to the hips, indeed. As for the color, it's brown]

[ now that we're done looking at the markings, raven's gonna go over to the railguard. is there any dried blood here, specifically? ]

[Nope! But there's a nice view of Elliot's body from here.

At least his pants are back on.]
