The clock strikes eight. The intermittent showers that dominated most of yesterday had, at some point during the night, escalated to a complete downpour that drenched the streets. Maybe that's why the morning might almost feel refreshing today—while it can't be said that the birds are chirping and the sun is shining brightly, the breeze is cool without being frigid while the sky is bright with the half moon.

Nevertheless. The deadline for Tuesday's motive was laid down as Friday, and amongst the pleasant earthy smell of the rain may be a tinge of something else.

Well now, how shall you spend this morning?

OPERA HOUSE - BACKSTAGE

[Okay yeah Suzaku knows fuck all about investigating a murder so he's going to hobble his way down to the opera house to get the pamphlet. He is still very indignant about the entire affair, but while he's here, might as well look around...]

[ Welcome to the opera house, and subsequently the opera house backstage! First thing's first: how familiar is Suzaku with this area, and did he bring a light? ]

[Not at all. He's been keeping off his foot and only came to the opera house before long enough to review the profiles, not investigate every suspicious-looking nook and cranny. Today is different, though - and he did not, but fortunately he is the light.]

The prop room looks about as messy as several people digging through it to scavenge for clothes. Which is to say that stuff is a little disorganized here, perhaps understandably so. ]

[Suzaku is now shining bright like the crazy diamond he is. He hasn't seen the actual area until now but he has seen other people milling around wearing alternate outfits besides the priest ones so he can conjecture. He'll give a good hard look at the floor first since watching his step here will be pretty important.]

[ While the floor isn't exactly new and pristine, there's nothing glaringly off about it, even under a bright light. ]

[Well Iago's looking at the clothes so he'll head into a dressing room to illuminate that next.]

[He's been stealing candles aplenty from the church and has a tendency to parade through the city with them at all hours, so it's no surprise that Ulquiorra has basically abandoned the body buzz to turn up in the opera house. First off: has anything changed about the profiles while he's passing by?

Second of all: anything else looking amiss aside from Suzaku hobbling about like an old man?]

Regardless, the profiles are now sans any of the lovely doodles they were adorned with in the beginning of the week. They're so clean they might even sparkle. But aside from Suzaku shining like an old man star there's nothing immediately amiss. ]

[You know what, sure. I had to get lost in Wiki for a couple minutes but I'll accept this.

Thus, he blackly parades all the way through the profiles; it's unsurprising to see that the graffiti has been scrubbed, even if it is a completely petty round of maintenance considering the state of the rest of the city. Anyway, let's look around at the stairs and general areas while we're here.

Is it petty though, is it really. Regardless! The stairs and general area all seem to be in order, and no one has stabbed themselves in the restaurant. That might be because there's less to stab yourself with in the restaurant than one might expect. Where all the knives? ]

[We're going to hazard a guess that someone decided the knives needed to go for a stroll in the rain. There's no cake to go with them though, how very sad. Unless you mean to say Elliot's the cake, in which case really only Zangetsu is going to eat that.

That being said, he'll just raise one eyebrow and do a full sweep, then. Any traces of whoever took the knives, or is it just knife and empty of other clues?]

[ Maybe knives need walks just like dogs in the absence of delicious cake.

But everything else in the restaurant is in order. ]

[...if the clothes have been messed with, he's rioting. ANYWAY, Iago's here with a candle and the first order of business is to check the clothes - is there anything on the way or is he able to get there just fine?]

[ The mastermind minds giveth and the culprit taketh? Iago will be able to reach the clothes just fine and thanks to his fashion expedition with Cumore he'll notice that the rack seems a little more empty than it was before. ]

[Well, considering how much he and Cumore stole, we're going to run out of clothes at some point, aren't we...

Noted, though! That's very interesting... Is there anything off about the clothes left? Are the missing clothes from all over or is it "all the dresses are missing" or something like that?]

[ The latter, and once again thanks to Iago's excellent taste in clothes and pursuit of (??) fashion sense, he notices that there's more space where the dresses are arranged. ]

[listen, it's not his fault his aesthetic is "female opera villain"!!! and look, it works in our favor today so shhh!!!

Interesting... So we've got at least one dress missing. Anything else off about the clothes here?]

[ It totally does.

Well you can't be an FE villain without decking yourself out in accessories, right? Given the weather in Krakow, it's probably not surprising that people would make do with what they can to keep warm but that doesn't explain why there's a bunch of light scarves missing really. ]
