It's a quiet night as the silence remains unbroken. Without the toll of the clock tower, only a choice few will be able to discern the time as the hands on all four faces remain fixed at 9:27. And yet, even those without any means of checking the time will probably get the picture: it's been four consecutive weeks of death already, so what makes this one any different? So even though the lines between days may blur and tangle together, time still marches on and deadlines continue to draw closer.

The time is ████. Is there a reason to be out in the streets right now? Maybe.

[ well since we were here earlier, let's take a look inside the bathroom area. is it a men's/women's thing or is it just one bathroom... ]

[ There's both a men's and a woman's bathroom! Which one are you checking, though this choice isn't really too hard all things considered. ]

[ WELL...raven heaves a heavy sigh before she steps into the men's restroom. what's going on in here? ]

[ Nothing!

...at least at first. Everything looks in order, but the trashcan looks like it needs to be changed soon. ]

[ gross. what's wrong with the trashcan.... ]

[ Well it's just a trashcan that is the receptacle to many paper towels. What is of note however, is that there are a few on the top, scrunched up and wet. ]

[raventhaw]

[ hmm. okay, just to be thorough: are the wet paper towels stained with anything? ...blood, for example? or does it just look like it's wet with water? ]

[umbralant]

[ She'll have to unfold them to check it out, but thankfully her reward is not blood! There are small black marks on the crumpled up towels, not drops but more like intermittent smears that fade to grey. ]

[raventhaw]

[ better than blood. she'll actually take one of those and put it in her pocket to bring to the trial.

let's look at the sink next! ]

[ +1 used paper towel with indiscriminate markings!

The sink has no traces of blood, dirt, or any other foreign objects, but it is wet. ]

[ she thought that'd be the case.

well...dare she look inside of the bathroom stalls? or are those clean? ]

[ All clean too! As is the rest of the bathroom. Not sparkly clean like a certain train station bathroom last week, but certainly nothing else of note. ]

[ you know what, since we're being thorough, we're gonna dig into the trashcan and see if anything was hidden under this...excessive number of paper towels. ]

[ Hey, at least Raven doesn't have ridiculously long nails like a certain someone. Digging in the trashcan gets you nothing interesting other than more paper towels that are dry. ]

[ Comes in to wash his hands after the body check and sees Raven digging in the trash can.......

he's too tired to make a clever comment, whatever ]

[ she gestures to the wet paper towels with the black smudges on them. ]

Our culprit went to town on ridding their hands of whatever this is.

Are you planning to take that to the trial?

One of them, yes.

[ it's one that's mostly covered, too. ]

"Black marks" are always hard to describe well is all, so I think it's a good idea to be able to put it out there for everyone to see for themselves.

[ And if it's like, gunshot residue or something, they have people who should be able to tell. ]

You're done with the sink and everything, right?

[ Because he's definitely standing here with blood on his hands. ]

Better to see the evidence with one's own eyes as much as possible.

[ instead of, you know, relying on one person's observations or lack thereof. ]
