Was what happened on Friday yet another tragedy in a string of them or just a complete shitshow? Well, regardless of which line of thought you subscribe to, the reality of it is that another three of your number are no longer in this realm with you. At least the remains of what had happened last week have been neatly cleaned up as always, even if that might not change what’s been etched in your memories. The drum set in the jazz bar remains busted though, because the masterminds aren't that generous. At least the tarot shop and boutique remain fine even if the vanished crystals and women's clothing aren't going to be restocked.

But either way, it’s a new week, and that means new locations to explore as the fog gives way to more of the city and its lamplit streets. The new moon waxes to half this week, appearing as a crescent moon for most of the week. It's far from optimistic, but maybe the brightening is a sign that this will be over soon...? Or maybe it just means the worst is yet to come, it's hard to say.

[ You can find Mikami in the Clergy Housing Dining Room where he is placing an interesting outfit on a chair with some care. The care is mostly because he is incapable of doing things messily, not because he thinks the clothes are respectable. What's even with all the gold accessory...?

Unless approached, he's just gonna write a note that says:

For whomever it belongs to or fits.

And then leave. Just so this isn't in his room and nobody will tease him about wearing it. Brr. ]

...I take it you also got a surprise from the postal service? Because I'm not sure I want to consider the alternative.

I am a little relieved to hear I may not be the only one.

Oh, hardly. I've been getting strange things out of it since I started placing orders, but it was always because I decided to gamble a bit. I received a completely unasked-for weapon this time, however.

That's... about the opposite of what happened to me. I ordered a weapon and received this - while the exact weapon I ordered was very brutally delivered by one of the miniature manifestations.

[ Who even knows what's going on with this post office anymore! ]

Exactly. At least the trip to the post office didn't end up being a complete waste.

Good. This place seems to have granted me a small armory's worth of weapons, so at least I don't have much to be concerned about in that regard.

[ This gets a small fleeting smile because we're all losing our minds in this place and Mikami has maybe remembered how to use his facial muscles for things other than frowning. ]

As much as I disliked the idea of having everyone armed, people would find a way to murder one another either way. I understand that now. So it's good we at least have defensive abilities - against whatever may come our way.

There's something to be said for creativity, I suppose - a lot of this does seem to have been unavoidable, armed or not.

I still don't plan on dying here, so at this point I'll take any advantage I can get.
