WEEK 5
WEEK 5
Was what happened on Friday yet another tragedy in a string of them or just a complete shitshow? Well, regardless of which line of thought you subscribe to, the reality of it is that another three of your number are no longer in this realm with you. At least the remains of what had happened last week have been neatly cleaned up as always, even if that might not change what’s been etched in your memories. The drum set in the jazz bar remains busted though, because the masterminds aren't that generous. At least the tarot shop and boutique remain fine even if the vanished crystals and women's clothing aren't going to be restocked.
But either way, it’s a new week, and that means new locations to explore as the fog gives way to more of the city and its lamplit streets. The new moon waxes to half this week, appearing as a crescent moon for most of the week. It's far from optimistic, but maybe the brightening is a sign that this will be over soon...? Or maybe it just means the worst is yet to come, it's hard to say.
[[Welcome to Week 5! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 5 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

[fucking hell!!!]

[ He'll stick around. ]
no subject
[...SIGH, yeah.]
Perhaps not here.

Lead the way.
[ Stuffing his hands in the pocket. They can go some where else to talk for a bit ]

[...and even as he starts over to the aquarium he feels himself getting kind of cold feet about the whole thing, but he probably should be forward about it. Maybe if someone actually knows it will keep him from doing something rash.
So, aquarium. He’ll just sit down in front of one of the tanks so he has fish to look at and wait for Dazai to do the same.]

He'll tag along, not bothering to fill in the silence this time until they arrive at the aquarium. His gaze drifts to the tank he tried swimming in before for a moment. ]
Looks like they are still doing fine.
[ He'll sit down next to Seteth and lean back. ]

But... goddess, where does he even begin here. Maybe he can stall for time a bit.]
They are, and I am glad to see it. It’s always nice to be able to look at them.

Maybe they will appreciate a toy from the arcade?
[ Maybe there's wind up water toys there ]
no subject
[...sigh.]
I would imagine that would be more enjoyable than banging on the glass, anyway.
no subject
[ maybe they will appreciate a water bottle in there ]
We can keep chatting about the fish or we can get to the point.
no subject
[...sigh. okay. welp.]
...like I said, it is... a very long story, and one in which I would accept that I am not entirely innocent. I know I told Rean, but I am not entirely sure if I've made it clear to anyone else that there is a war going on back home.

[ War or fighting seems to be the popular theme with those brought here ]

[...]
...there used to be many of our kind in my homeland, you know. We were not as common as humans, of course, but... certainly, there were more than just five of us.
[six? Byleth is kind of a weird case...]

[ Besides from Lady wanting some Dilf action ]

There are still traces of what happened left. Many families have hereditary powers that came from their ancestors consuming our blood, and there are legendary weapons made from our bones. But the truth of their origins are kept secret to protect the few of us that remain.
[so, like, shin's everything was particularly fucked up!!!]

Knowing would mean people would want to kill you and your daughter.
[ So he gets it. ]
It would also mean they would try to find what remains of your people.
no subject
Yes, it would. My two brothers have chosen to live in remote areas as beasts, so they're better equipped to take care of themselves... but my daughter is effectively a human with better than average healing magic at this point.
...
However, the way we have handled our secrets has caused its own problems. I... cannot help but blame myself in it, since I left my sister to handle things on her own when she was clearly still suffering after being the only survivor of the actual massacre that killed the rest of our people that weren't elsewhere in Fodlan.
no subject
It's just your family that made it. [ As far as he knows. That's pretty sad ]
You have your daughter to look after. And you can change that if we get out of here.
[ It's strangely optimistic considering the source. ]
no subject
...I do intend to change things, at least. I think that they have to change for Fodlan to avoid ruin. Hopefully it hasn't come to that already, at least...
