WEEK 5

Was what happened on Friday yet another tragedy in a string of them or just a complete shitshow? Well, regardless of which line of thought you subscribe to, the reality of it is that another three of your number are no longer in this realm with you. At least the remains of what had happened last week have been neatly cleaned up as always, even if that might not change what’s been etched in your memories. The drum set in the jazz bar remains busted though, because the masterminds aren't that generous. At least the tarot shop and boutique remain fine even if the vanished crystals and women's clothing aren't going to be restocked.

But either way, it’s a new week, and that means new locations to explore as the fog gives way to more of the city and its lamplit streets. The new moon waxes to half this week, appearing as a crescent moon for most of the week. It's far from optimistic, but maybe the brightening is a sign that this will be over soon...? Or maybe it just means the worst is yet to come, it's hard to say.

Hey, can't account for everything. And you wouldn't want to anyway—as much as this game is about tricking other people into drinking, it's also about having fun.

Haha, that's true. I hope everyone else's able to remember that on their sixth sip of their drink, though.

By then, I doubt half these guys will be using full sentences! A couple of them look like they've never had a drop of alcohol in their life.

[ Not blaming them 'cause you do you, but also. Like. Looks like a lot of light-weights, tbh. ]

It does seem like some people might not really be so used to drinking so much.

[ From the way he was talking, he sounds like he might have been more used to holding his liquor. Plus he didn't look like he was going to keel over. ]

I'm... from a cold place. I don't know if it actually works or anything, but on cold nights when there wasn't enough heat to go around, it'd sometimes help to take a swig or two to warm up.

[ ...Ah. ]

I can understand that, even if I wasn't in that sort of position. I can at least even say I'm from a cold place as well, so we have something in common there.

I feel like it's definitely true that a good drink can warm you up some, so I wouldn't be surprised if it somehow warded off the cold for a while.
