Was what happened on Friday yet another tragedy in a string of them or just a complete shitshow? Well, regardless of which line of thought you subscribe to, the reality of it is that another three of your number are no longer in this realm with you. At least the remains of what had happened last week have been neatly cleaned up as always, even if that might not change what’s been etched in your memories. The drum set in the jazz bar remains busted though, because the masterminds aren't that generous. At least the tarot shop and boutique remain fine even if the vanished crystals and women's clothing aren't going to be restocked.

But either way, it’s a new week, and that means new locations to explore as the fog gives way to more of the city and its lamplit streets. The new moon waxes to half this week, appearing as a crescent moon for most of the week. It's far from optimistic, but maybe the brightening is a sign that this will be over soon...? Or maybe it just means the worst is yet to come, it's hard to say.

[ He's very curious about what Dist is working on, but he's also far more interested on what he can do hinself here. ]

It started out as investigating the new areas, but now I'm actually interested in this place. Back home, I used to do some engineering work.

It was part of my education at the Garrison--the military I'm part of. Mostly I was a pilot, but it's a huge problem if your ship breaks down on a mission and there's no one around to fix it.

[ He runs a hand along one of the cars. ]

... That, and I just liked working on vehicles. And racing them.

[ortion]

[Wow, there really are a lot of military personnel in their group. He feels like he's constantly learning of more every week.]

My world has vehicles and ships, but they aren't exactly commonplace. We certainly do not have transport vehicles as small as these.

[He motions to the car that Shiro is touching.]

I would be interested in hearing about your experience with them.

I don't mind, but I don't want to distract you too much from your project.

Please. This will take me no time at all to complete. I am fine with leaving it be for now.

[It's not even for him, so while he's pressed to get it done, he's not pressed to the point of passing up other curiosities.]

What should be even more interesting, though, is that Shiro talks about flying vehicles like they're super commonplace, which they absolutely are! ]

But Dist sure is into this car talk. The flying aspect in particular definitely catches his attention. He has one of those...sort of. It's not a car, but it sure flies.]

How are they constructed to allow for flight? This is something that is in its infancy in Auldrant.

It's pretty amazing. Airplanes are more common than space shuttles; there's a little less to account for there, since you aren't traveling up into space with more variables.
