Well that sure happened
[Ango truthfully isn't much of a cook, relying mostly on takeout food to keep himself fed. But takeout isn't an option here, and after that...colorful trial, he doesn't have it in him to trust food that he isn't preparing himself.
It's not bad, really. Just rather plain. There is also a noticeable lack of meat among everything he's prepared too. And it all goes well with the liquid diet he's supplying, courtesy of the jazz bar. Plenty of booze bottles and glasses can be found for your drinking needs. He's sure he's not the only one who wants to forget that whole cursed trial.]
Food and drinks are in the opera house. Be sure to drink responsibly.

[There are also no decorations, beyond the mess left behind from earlier.]

moodily meandering
No time like the present, obviously. It's not unexpected at all to find anyone out bumbling in the aftermath of their lovely jaunt into human furniture and literal brainbreaking, but the overly sober will always judge the overly indulgent and so here they are.]
I continue to fail to understand the wisdom in litigating a murder, and then in immediately incapacitating yourself. Is it a resignation to fate?

Ignis looks over at Ulquiorra, lips pressed together for a moment. It's not openly hostile, so he's not going to kick up a fuss about it, but!! Why must you judge him.]
People in hard times will find what little comforts they can, I've found. And I'm simply human - unless you're implying there's more danger to be had.

But since Ignis has elected to doom and gloom and make faces out in the open, Ulquiorra has no reservations about staring right back at him -- there's no change in expression but his gaze is flat in the first place, so there's really not that many leaps to make when you're already in a bad mood. F.]
It has been three weeks of this circus. Shouldn't even humans have adapted by now? Or are you saying that this is your form of adaptation? [a touch derisive, a drop of curiosity, and the faintest shrug] I do not need to imply.

A flat expression is...at least not annoying, even if it is a touch unsettling. Some people are just like that, he guesses.]
Evolution can take centuries. [Which is not a very funny joke, but it's probably obvious that Ignis is trying to pull himself out of his mopiness.] And the danger seems to be on a schedule, so there's no harm in letting my guard down.
[Unless you want to fight right now.]

He might have made a career out of being unsettling, but the field is a little oversaturated back home, so perhaps he's just turning over an old leaf here and dusting it off.]
Human evolution can take centuries. [immediate and dismissive this time, with a faint but clear emphasis on the human; what's humor, why is he like this] And danger is never on a schedule. Do you really think that will hold?
[Considering he's still got bandaging flapping in the breeze and is also talking to a drunk it's probably not the time for his first bar brawl minus the bar?? But considering this week, he might be making a point, too.]
no subject
Even though he's kind of drunk right now. He could still take you!]
And many of us here are human. [Ignis included. He's also not going to ask how long evolution would take for Ulquiorra, because, well. That's irrelevant.] I think I could handle any danger that came out me.
[So it's definitely time for that bar brawl, right...]

Unfortunately.
[There is so much in that one word. Most of it is just irritation; some exasperation, disbelief, ridicule; and probably some heavy implication that human evolutionary scales are just basically not worth mentioning. Moving on as a team!]
I suppose you are truly human. Ignorant and leaping like an overeager dog at things larger than yourself.
[Ironically, while them's probably fighting words of some sort, Ulquiorra isn't bothering to square up. Believe it or not, he's not an especially fighty type on a daily basis.]
