[Ango truthfully isn't much of a cook, relying mostly on takeout food to keep himself fed. But takeout isn't an option here, and after that...colorful trial, he doesn't have it in him to trust food that he isn't preparing himself.

It's not bad, really. Just rather plain. There is also a noticeable lack of meat among everything he's prepared too. And it all goes well with the liquid diet he's supplying, courtesy of the jazz bar. Plenty of booze bottles and glasses can be found for your drinking needs. He's sure he's not the only one who wants to forget that whole cursed trial.]

That's not a bet I'd be willing to make, really, but we do have it narrowed down enough now that we can probably table it until we come to a case where the evidence isn't clearly pointing to anyone.

That is true too. Though I also suspect if they're the type to hide their powers then they might also commit a murder without using them. In which case their exact powers do not matter, as far as evidence goes.

That said, I also think that at least one of them must have Sonui, since only Dazai-kun has admitted to having it. And it seems strange for only one person to have a specific power.

My assumption has been that there was probably a nearly even distribution of powers at the start -- as much as there can be with an uneven number to divide, anyway. So I agree that he probably isn't the only one, but it's also possible that the others died already.

Given how much the first victim talked, I have to say a sound-based power wouldn't seem unfitting for him.

Well, I'm not not saying that.

[ He's also probably biased because he hates almost everything that comes out of Dazai's mouth. ]

But in a more general sense, it seems like many of them are strangely well-suited to the recipients in one way or another.

You may have a point there, I have noticed that in some cases. But then you have people like Zangetsu and his ice powers, which aren't that great of a match. I'm also not sure how gravitas matches me.

Is there one that you think would have matched you better?

Anyway, I don't think it's necessarily always a good match, but there are enough cases where it has been that it seems like a reasonable starting point for theorizing what everyone has.
