Well that sure happened
[Ango truthfully isn't much of a cook, relying mostly on takeout food to keep himself fed. But takeout isn't an option here, and after that...colorful trial, he doesn't have it in him to trust food that he isn't preparing himself.
It's not bad, really. Just rather plain. There is also a noticeable lack of meat among everything he's prepared too. And it all goes well with the liquid diet he's supplying, courtesy of the jazz bar. Plenty of booze bottles and glasses can be found for your drinking needs. He's sure he's not the only one who wants to forget that whole cursed trial.]
Food and drinks are in the opera house. Be sure to drink responsibly.
-Ango
[There are also no decorations, beyond the mess left behind from earlier.]

Well, whatever's gotten into him lately, he'll make a point of seeking out Shin's portraits of everyone; they're horribly morbid things to have around and he isn't sure what he thinks of them, but for the time being he'll at least take his own.
It's morbid, but it's well-done and it's his for the time being now. Into his room it goes.
After that, though, he'll find his way back to the opera house; he isn't eating anything - he never does at these little post-trial get-togethers - and he doesn't seem all that interested in the alcohol, either, but he's certainly here and occasionally writing things down in a notebook, in some of that weird script he uses sometimes. He doesn't seem as keyed-up as he usually does after these things; he doesn't seem relaxed either, but he's calm for once. Settled. Trying to keep himself that way.
He'll leave later in the evening, though not to return to clergy housing immediately; looks like he's in the botanical gardens again despite the late hour.]

Ah.
.... Yo.

I'm not destroying them. If that's what you're here to do, just wait until I've found what I'm after.

That's why I'm here. I at least want mine, and perhaps his just to keep someone from damaging it out of spite.

[he'll start digging through the paintings, looking for his]
If the others want to destroy theirs, then.... whatever. It just seems like a waste.

[He is capable of a lot of things, if you ask him. Drawing competent...anything isn't one of them, though.]
Either way, people seemed to take what he did so personally. It seems a little like missing the point, if you ask me.

Not this time. I've been back a few times since for some, however.

[...shit's cute.]
it was a long day yesterday sorry
You should show me some time.
[ Make sure to hide the art of Iago first ]
no worries! I am still very much around
[He still isn't sure what to make of Dazai, but he doesn't seem that...bad...]

portrait hell
Which is why it's rather unusual to have two of them here, picking somewhat gingerly through the carcasses left by both Shin and the city itself.
Ulquiorra is only delicate insofar as he's watching the paints and chemical mixtures around the place in the wake of everything, but he pauses when he sees Cumore digging for very dubious treasure.]
Is your likeness so important to you that you'd take it from that man?
[Never mind that Cumore apparently wants to add human taxidermists to his harem gallery.]
no subject
I'm not nearly as troubled by "that man" and his actions as many of them seemed to be.
no subject
[Apparently Ulquiorra just doesn't have a high opinion of the fellow in general, possibly for extremely biased or extremely obvious reasons; he didn't have any particularly unusual run-ins with him before this week, but he also is not exactly a man of the arts. Given his usual habits, the clergy housing might be more apt for him than you'd expect.
Of course, that doesn't mean he usually assents to stay there.
For the moment he just seems to be critically eyeing the art, still.]
Even if you'd keep any sort of company, I don't see how this sort of thing is so valuable.
no subject
no subject
[That's probably like the most neutral or possibly euphemistic way to phrase it, even if Ulquiorra probably didn't intend any particular softening to the statement. Many of the priorities of those here are, to him, strange -- by nature, by the fact that they're technically alive, whatever.
Anyway, Cumore is getting some vague side-eye here.]
Out of all that happens in this city you prioritize things such as this. Most would call it an ill omen.

So, sometime before the party, here he is. He sighs when he sees that Cumore is in here as well, though it's just a quiet one to himself, and not some exaggerated sound of exasperation that can be heard across the room. He still can't stand him, of course, but at least he's been less obnoxious than usual lately. Which seems a little odd, actually, but maybe he's just starting to crack under the pressure.
Rideaux gives him a bit of a sidelong glance but doesn't feel obligated to say anything, so he'll just wait his turn. (And make sure he isn't trying to run off with his portrait, too.) ]
no subject
...I'm not here to destroy or deface any of these, you know.
no subject
[ Not out loud, anyway. At least he has some awareness of what everyone thinks of him, apparently, which is more than Rideaux would have given him credit for. ]
no subject
[Eh, it's more an issue with the artist in question than it is directly one with him; Shin was kind of a shitshow all over everyone and apparently people take issue with human taxidermy.]
no subject
I suppose.
[ It is a fair point, though. ]
One does have to wonder exactly how he was seeing us when he made these.
