finer food, but no music
[Well that was...unpleasant, to say the least. Two more deaths, but this time there's the matter of whatever's happening to Seteth as well.
Ignis is trying not to think about it, which means he's thinking about it a lot, which means he spends a few moments pacing and trying to figure out what to do. He thinks back to the party - for as much as you could call it that - that Olivert hosted, and, well... He's not sure how much morale can be boosted, but it's worth a shot, isn't it?
The decorations of the opera house are much simpler this time around, but the food is noticeably better, between the actual operational kitchen and the fact Ignis is much more skilled than Olivert. The food is well made and it even looks delicious from where it's set up, and there's a sign outside the opera house that reads:]
A not as grand feast, for all of us to enjoy.
Attendance is not mandatory, but it might be better than staying alone.
Catered by Ignis Scientia.
[At least there are less rose petals this time.]

He'd returned to clergy housing for approximately ten collective minutes before deciding that he didn't really feel like being on his own; like hell if he knows what else to do with himself, either, but doing nothing on his own sounds weirdly worse than doing nothing in the generalized vicinity of other people.
This kind of turns out to be a mistake? Like, he's certainly here and to some extent he's present, but he's got a weird expression going on that isn't quite blank, just...more like he's giving serious contemplation to the notion of there being two guys on the moon and one of them kills the other with a rock, and he's trying to figure out if that would in fact be fucked up or what. It's a weird night, is what this comes down to; he's not eating anything, though he does have water with him at least, and otherwise he's just kind of. Off in thought, probably. Not like he's shown a whole lot of capacity for deep thought, but who knows, honestly - either way, he'll look up if he's approached and he'll be back to the usual that before long, so at least there's that.]

He knew how vastly different they approached things by now, but Rean couldn't leave anyone he perceived to be having a hard time alone (their captors were an exception.) ]
Cumore? Do you mind if I joined you for a little bit?
no subject
For what it's worth, he does look up as he's approached; he looks a little distant still, maybe, but there's a brief handwave and vague gesturing at the table because look at all the people he's not surrounded by.]
I'm certainly not opposed, do as you like.

[ He'll then settle himself down, certainly also taking note of the other's lack of company. ]
...I was wondering about how you were faring after today's trial, if you don't mind me asking.
no subject
...Well enough, I suppose. Perhaps a bit tired. Why?
no subject
[ Revelations and also heated arguments, among other things (see: Seteth) ]
no subject
Ah... Well, it was a bit stressful, I suppose. I've had worse.
[...buddy.]
no subject
...I suppose that's possible, though it's not easy to imagine, considering everything we're dealing with right now.

I don't know what you want me to tell you. I don't feel much like being alone at the moment, so I'm here. It isn't as though I'm seeking out comfort or pity from anyone; today was a bit much, but I'm sure I can handle it, same as I always do.
Is that better.
no subject
[ Rean wasn't sure if he could call it or anything 'better', especially after today, so he was hesitant to say it was that, exactly. ]

Well, in my experience, talking it out with someone might lead to something insightful... or even just make it easier to recover, and then bounce back into facing the situation.
Though, I know it doesn't work like that for everyone.
no subject
Do I look like I've ever...
[He stops himself, though. Thinks about it. Starts over.]
I usually have my unit to focus on. They talk to me about issues. Not the other way around. And I'm not in the practice of keeping friends.
no subject
Did you want to...start doing that? Maybe?
I mean, you don't have to, but I figure there's no harm in offering.
[ And he'd completely understand why the other wouldn't want to. Their situation wasn't ideal, but still, here he was. ]

If you want? Or it could be with someone else, if you'd like. I'm not about to force something like this on someone if they don't want to.
no subject
I don't consider anyone my equal. Isn't that required for something like that?
no subject
Though... ]
Personally, yes, I think it is. But, even though you don't consider someone your equal right now, that could change. Only if you want it to, though.
no subject
I can't really say it's anything I think about, simply because that isn't how things work.
[He can't precisely say he likes it, either. Hhhhhhh.]
...I'll keep it in mind, however. It may prove worth the consideration.
