The clock strikes eight. The intermittent showers that dominated most of yesterday had, at some point during the night, escalated to a complete downpour that drenched the streets. Maybe that's why the morning might almost feel refreshing today—while it can't be said that the birds are chirping and the sun is shining brightly, the breeze is cool without being frigid while the sky is bright with the half moon.

Nevertheless. The deadline for Tuesday's motive was laid down as Friday, and amongst the pleasant earthy smell of the rain may be a tinge of something else.

Well now, how shall you spend this morning?

The prop room looks about as messy as several people digging through it to scavenge for clothes. Which is to say that stuff is a little disorganized here, perhaps understandably so. ]

[The knives are... well, as clean as you'd expect from lying around in the rain so they're probably not pristine but there isn't any blood or anything either. They're not damaged either.

...A couple may be recognizable as being from the clergy housing, by the way.]

[That pun is awful. Investigation is over.

Taking a closer look at the muddy footprints reveals...it doesn't reveal much. The steps are evenly spaced, but there are two factors that make it hard to determine something from them.

One is that every step has less mud and therefore the trail fades -- in direction of the staircase, but they don't get there before there just aren't footprints left.

The other is that they are...shaped in a way you may not expect: they don't resemble shoes, but they're footprints, that's for sure. You know what that means, Dazai?]

[Ulquiorra barely pauses on his way through the square -- he was headed elsewhere, probably to the opera house at this point, and there's already a crowd of vultures obscuring the body. He's not especially interested in the dead if they don't rise into something more interesting. He'll deal with more important things for now.

That being said, he considers everyone loud so that's not even a proper RIP.]

[He's been stealing candles aplenty from the church and has a tendency to parade through the city with them at all hours, so it's no surprise that Ulquiorra has basically abandoned the body buzz to turn up in the opera house. First off: has anything changed about the profiles while he's passing by?

Second of all: anything else looking amiss aside from Suzaku hobbling about like an old man?]

He's going to head up the stairs then and head to the third floor while Raven peeks at the second. ]

[Suzaku is now shining bright like the crazy diamond he is. He hasn't seen the actual area until now but he has seen other people milling around wearing alternate outfits besides the priest ones so he can conjecture. He'll give a good hard look at the floor first since watching his step here will be pretty important.]

Alright. Are any of the pens bloody? Are the papers empty or is anything on them?

Mikami is going to go through this stuff before the book bag. And god, he hates every second of picking up wet paper. He needs a shower already. ]

[ As any good scientist should. In that case, buckets aren't the only thing that seem to be in dwindling supply here. How are you supposed to keep this place clean if there's one less dustpan too? ]

...well not quite, but this bathroom is different from the other one. Namely there's puddles of water on the floor. Someone should really clean up after themselves. ]

He'll take a closer look at the head first, taking a moment to sketch out what he sees and make notes, before he gently brushes a hand against the back of Elliot's neck in hopes of feeling any broken bone that might be there...

He doesn't mind getting a little blood on him while he's touching the body. ]

Dare I ask why we should bother? Surely, appeals to justice will be enough reason for some, but as you've acknowledged several of us already have what we want out of this.

While Raven take a look at the second floor and finds nothing of use, Dazai gets to the observation room on the third floor. The large windows show the night sky, with its moon shining and illuminating around. The cityscape of Krakow out there is beautiful.

But what he may find of interest right away is that there's some dry mud drops on the floor. Huh. Want to come in and take a look around, Dazai? Or would you prefer going somewhere else?]

[...if the clothes have been messed with, he's rioting. ANYWAY, Iago's here with a candle and the first order of business is to check the clothes - is there anything on the way or is he able to get there just fine?]

[The pens are also pretty innocuous! Again, they look like they've been sitting in the rain for a bit now so.

As for the papers, well, some of the ones that ended up closer to Elliot's head might look varying shades of pink even if they're still kind of drenched with rainwater. However, sheets further off and around the feet pretty much just look like wet paper. There's no writing on any of them, regardless.]

[ While the floor isn't exactly new and pristine, there's nothing glaringly off about it, even under a bright light. ]

[ He totally wants to take a look. Let's follow the mud drops. Also, is Elliot's body down below? As in, he could have fallen from this side of the building? ]
